■ Hirata Cotton Highway
This is a historic road that flourished as a cotton production and distribution center from the Edo period to the Meiji period. This area was a thriving cotton production and trade center, and old buildings and merchant houses that still retain their appearance are scattered here and there. Today, there are soy sauce breweries, sake breweries, and ginger candy shops.
■ Sagiura Townscape
For about 200 years from the Edo period (1672) to the Meiji period, the Kitamae ships transported goods and culture. Sagiura flourished as a port of call. It is a calm and good port, and traces of the time remain, such as boathouses and merchant houses. Spend some time listening to the sound of the waves.
Izumo is a land of mythology. Here in Sagiura, Inasehagi no Mikoto, who played an active role in the myth of the transfer of the country, is enshrined.
■ Inasa Beach and Izumo Taisha
Visit Inasa Beach, the setting of the myth of the transfer of the country. Afterwards, visit Izumo Taisha. The culture of the Izumo region is deeply connected to mythology and Izumo Taisha. In addition, during the month of Kamiarizuki (October in the lunar calendar), the Kamiari Festival is held, where eight million gods gather, and many worshippers come from all over the country. It is also designated as a national treasure. You can visit the treasure hall.

■ 平田木綿街道
江戸時代から明治時代にかけて木綿の産地・集散地として栄えた歴史的な街道です。この地域は、木綿の生産と取引が盛んであり、現在でもその面影を残す古い建物や商家が点在しています。現在では、醤油蔵、酒蔵、生姜糖のお店などがあります。
■ 鷺浦の街並み
江戸時代（1672年）から明治時代にかけて約200年間、物資と文化を運んだ北前船。鷺浦はその寄港地として栄えました。穏やかな良港で、船宿や商家など、当時の面影が残ります。波の音を聞きながら、過ごしてみましょう。
出雲は神話の地。ここ鷺浦にも、国譲り神話で活躍した、稲背脛命（いなせはぎのみこと）が祀られています。
■ 稲佐の浜と出雲大社
国譲り神話の舞台「稲佐の浜」を訪れます。その後出雲大社を参拝。出雲地域の文化には、神話や出雲大社と深い結びつきがあります。また、神在月（旧暦１０月）には、八百万の神が集まる神在祭が行われ、全国から多くの参拝者が訪れます。国宝にも指定されています。宝物殿見学あり。
